Non-Medical Volunteers
The medical services we provide at The Good Shepherd Clinic, would not be possible with those volunteers behind the scenes performing non-medical duties. The Good Shepherd Clinic needs volunteers on a regular basis, who perform duties in differing areas of interest. Even without any medical knowledge, volunteers help make a difference in other areas of the organization that allow us to provide the services we offer. If you are wanting to share your skills, interests and experiences from a non-medical background, the below positions are required to be filled.
Volunteers Positions Available
- Clerical – assist with filing, pulling charts, updating files, preparing mail-outs, data entry, faxing, etc.
- Receptionist – greet patients, answer phones and make appointments
- Patient Registration and Intake – interview patients for eligibility and utilize Electronic Health Record
- Computer Support – use Microsoft Word and Excel to assist with the creation of letters, forms, and data entry.
NOTE: Basic computer skills are needed for most volunteer positions.
